Mark 4:24 And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.25 For to him who has will more be given; and from him who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away [by force],
Everything in the Kingdom of God happens by faith and the only way to get faith is from the lips of Christ Himself (Romans 10:17). The only way to win the good fight of faith which is our battle against Satan is to hear the Word, learn, live, and pay attention the Word of God.
The Word of God is God, it is His opinion, the revelation knowledge of God and how His Kingdom operates. The Word is God and is our faith; it is what we need to hear to have revealed to us of how life is overcome in the Kingdom of God.
Mark 4:23 If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend.
Hearing the Word is doing the Word which brings the revelation knowledge of the Word. If we’re not doing the Word then we’re only acquainted with the Word. Not doing the Word is knowing just enough to be lukewarm, enough of the Word to make it dangerous to us.
Revelation 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!
Do we know the Word, the Someone that is the Word? If we’re not living in desperation of the Word having to have it to get by then we really don’t know the Person —who the Word is. If we don’t know Him and we’re not meeting with Him daily then we are living lukewarm and being devoured by the lies of the enemy.
He is the distractor of hearing. He is the one who is consistently saying the exact lie we want to hear. That conviction brought to us by the Holy Spirit Who is working to keep us right with God and fit us for heaven.
Do you hear what I hear? Do you hear the living Word asking, will Jesus find faith on the earth when He returns? Do you hear Him calling you to prepare the way for Him? Do you hear Him calling you into agreement with Him for the impossible to happen? Is He asking you to show who He is to those who don’t know Him by being about His business, being a part of His quest to deliver us from evil now before He comes? Do you hear Him say live in My Kingdom here, now, in the
delight and blessedness in which your Master enjoys—as representing Him?
If we hear what the Spirit is saying to us it is our ambition to hear Him. Jesus said if you have ears to hear you will hear Him by paying attention— to the Word.
If you don’t make it your ambition, if you are not desperate, you’re not on fire and you won’t hear Him. If you won’t make Him your ambition, you won’t hear Him calling out to you, and you won’t be prepared for His coming.
If you don’t hear Him you can’t be in agreement with Him, and you are at risk of hearing Him say on that day, away from Me I never knew you who practice lawlessness.
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name? 23 And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].
May I encourage you today to hear Him, His time is near which means we have less time to make the decision to hear. We have less time to make a decision to not only live with Him in the new heaven and the new earth, but now.
Don’t let Satan steal your faith from you, don’t let distractions of this temporary life rob you of your eternity with God, but get before God and let Him reveal to you the importance of life, which will deliver you from this temporal one.
