BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE
Revelation 3:16 So because you are lukewarm (spiritually useless), and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth [rejecting you with disgust]. AMPC
Many think they are moving in with Jesus one day, yet they are so far from being right with Him, and sadly, they don’t even know it.
If you knew what Jesus was thinking of you, like maybe He was disgusted with your lukewarm status, you’d more than likely do something about it, right? The truth is, we don’t know what He is thinking of us until we are willing to be corrected.
Revelation 3:19 Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude]. AMPC
We can assimilate some of those thoughts He has toward us through the written Word, as He does speak to us through His Word. He is His Word (John 1:1). But if we don’t seek Him by going to the Word and/or asking His thoughts toward us, if we are not willing to be corrected, then we live a life of deception.
—Thinking we are right with Him and we are not is a pretty scary thing knowing the consequences.—
What would He say to you today if you asked His opinion of you? Would He say you are lukewarm and He was disgusted with you?
What if He did? Would you change positions, or would you get offended and walk away?
Why would you ask Jesus such a question to begin with? Because if you don’t or won’t, you are assuming you are right with Him.
But what if He isn’t thinking what you are thinking? What if He is thinking you're not right with Him? Then on that day, as you and He were not on the same page, because you weren't willing to bow down, He would say to you, “I didn't know you, you who practice lawlessness”.
Matthew 7:21-23 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name? 23 And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands]. AMPC
Now you are shocked, and you will say —but Lord. You didn't know, because you didn't know what He was thinking. You were too sure of yourself, and now, it's too late to do anything about it.
Check with Him now before it’s too late.
