TODAY’S TEACHING

IF YOU KNOW ME YOU WILL FOLLOW ME

Jesus gives us the revelation today of the simple fact that if we really knew Him, we would follow Him!

VISION MESSAGE FOR TODAY

THINKING WE ARE RIGHT WITH GOD

I find that most people are oblivious to their state of NOT being ready for Jesus’ return. Most people I have had conversations with think they are pardoned for what they can’t seem to control, but what that is is sin.

What they fail to realize is they have the power they need to be an overcomer already within them when they have asked Jesus in their hearts. By faith in Him, we are overcomers already, and our faith in Him will cause that power— His power to operate in our lives.

We have an instruction Book that tells us if we believe, how we can have His grace, His unmerited favor, and His power to be an overcomer, which we are called to be (Revelation 3:5).

Yes, and so it is a fight to believe and not give in to going back to our old life. It is a fight to believe and live by His commands instead of giving in to what seems to be the easier way. Most of the time, the reason one gives up is because it seems they can’t control their flesh. But the truth is, one can with Him. If we truly believe He lives in us and that His power is enough to overcome and that He already overcame for us, then we can live in that place, as overcomers!

He overcame and is in us. That makes it possible for us to overcome in His power, which is just plain and simple faith in Him —that He can do in us what we can’t do ourselves. We make the decision and He does the work in us. It is that easy; just decide, submit, and He will recreate you to be just like Him, an Overcomer!

When we choose to believe, we will have His grace. His unmerited favor is there for us, and He will empower us to live in His Kingdom; His way —here and now while we are on the earth. We can live victorious, just like Jesus lived while He was here. That is our call. We were designed to be like Him. Overcomers, achievers, victorious like Him, because of Him in us.

Yes, Jesus pardoned our sin, but for those who chose to believe that He did. He did— in and for the one who would believe so. If you believe, then you will follow His commands, and let Him do that work in you that will rid you of that sin.

Yes, we are called to live sin-free; that is what our life as Him in us is about. He lives in us and He does not live in sin. Yes, we may mess up and we are indeed forgiven, but we won’t practice sin with the thought of being out of control. He gave us the power of self-control, and as we believe, we can live there (2 Timothy 1:7).

Those who don’t choose are self-willed, doing what they feel like doing and making their opinions to live by —that are NOT in agreement with God. It is easy to slip into that state of being if we let our flesh have its way, which is how the enemy controls us. But if we cling to Jesus and ask Him to help us, He will, and that my friend is true salvation.

In that state of being, clinging to Him, hanging on to Him in the storms of life, resisting the enemy’s entrapment is where you get to know Jesus. In the midst of the storms of life, where it is just you and Him, you will know Him.

I am thinking of a few movies I have watched where there are two people stranded in the middle of nowhere and are in desolation. This one movie in particular, I am thinking of the two people who didn’t know each other before that plane crash in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly, all they had was each other and had no choice —nothing else to do but get to know each other and come to trust each other. They didn’t know if they would live or die. They had limited resources and no way out of their situation, except to depend on each other that somehow, together they could live. They learned of each other and began to appreciate the person they were with. In each movie, after they were rescued and tried to go back to their old lives, it was hard. It was empty and seemed meaningless to live without each other as they now had a love for each other they never had with anyone before.

That is how it will be when you are serious about Jesus. It will be just you and Him, and you will appreciate Who you are with. He will be the only One that matters to you because you will actually see your salvation in Him. You will see He is the most important One in your life and the One that truly cares for you like no other, the One you can’t live a moment without. You won’t want to go back to your old life, but you will want to be with Him always. You fell in love while alone with Him and there is no turning back.

The entrapment you were in before (the life you lived without Him) you submitted to your Salvation in Him will begin to fall off of you. You will be so grateful you spent that time with Him who allowed you to see and to know what your life is really about. You will be so in love with that One that brought you the most JOY you had ever had before. No one will be able to talk you out of this new profound life you live with Him

If we don’t live in that place while we’re here, if we don’t get stranded out on the water with Jesus, with only Jesus to rescue us, then we will be one of those who take His commands lightly— rejecting Him. Then on that day, what we spent our lives doing, where our heart is— will be visible to us for the first time.

It doesn’t have to be that way. You can jump ship now and get alone with Jesus now so you can see where you are now —or you can walk around in the fog and not see now, but when it’s too late to see.

What am I talking about? You can’t see clearly until you let Him correct you. Until you submit to Him, you can’t see your real state of existence. Yes, He is that powerful and will allow you to see truth as you are willing to see it. It is all up to you. You have the choice to choose Him or you.

Many on that day, because they lived in the fog- those who thought they were doing church but really only playing church, those who thought they were right and lived on their own opinions, those who were full of themselves- will stand before Jesus and get the real picture of their doings, how they rejected Him, when they rejected His way. It will be clear when it is too late that they rejected Him because of their own self-pride.

It’s not too late to listen now to His voice, to heed His law and love in His Kingdom now. Then on that day He will recognize you and you Him. He won’t say I didn’t know you, but He will call you by name to sit by His side.

Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.22 Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in name and done many mighty works in Your name? 23 And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands]. Call out to Him and He will answer you!
