YOUR ACT OF FAITH
I was out on a walk when I heard God say, “ACT”. He was referencing James 2:17, where it is written that faith without action is dead. I knew he was saying that faith is like acting.
James 2:17 So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).
In comparison to performing in a play, acting a certain part in that play is called a performance.
God is calling your acts of faith a performance.
For instance, in believing to be healed —you act like you are healed. You don’t feel healed, but you act healed. You don’t feel good but you act like you do. The result, after your performance, you reach your goal, and then you are healed.
I have done this many times, and every single time I was healed. On some occasions, I didn't do my best performance, and it took much longer than the times I performed well.
One of those times is now. I know God was encouraging me that day to enhance my performance. To step it up and to act not in part, but in full, to act like I have what I don't have yet.
Sometimes we are on this task of —acts of faith, when some of the acts, (the faith actions) seem much too scary and so we subconsciously ignore them.
God is kind. He will tell you the faith action you are missing to make that miracle happen. He will tell you again and again until you get it. He is on your side, and He will help you to do that faith action. He is excited that you would act out His good and perfect will, that you would receive from Him.
Humble yourself before Him and receive that instruction and the help you need to bring His will to pass in your life.
