Galatians 6:9 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.
God’s promises are true, but at times seem so far away, I know. Whenever I am believing God for the impossible it seems as though it is not going to happen. There is no indication whatsoever that what I set my heart on is going to come to pass. In fact in getting weary, what I am expecting seems silly if I don’t go to God and get confirmation from Him that I am on the right path. that what I am believing Him for is His will.
Nothing is clearer than when we hear God speak to us and encourage us, which is why we have set our heart on His promises to begin with, because He encourage us to. But as time goes by we do get weary and then we need a fresh Word from God—we need God to encourage us so we can keep believing.
Whenever I get to that place God refers me back to this scripture, "Don’t lose heart, don’t faint". I know He is saying it’s on the way, don’t quit now, because if I quit, it gets detained. Receiving from God is a faith thing. Faith brings to pass what you are asking of God, so if you quit, it won’t come at all, and if you quit for a while due season is extended.
The appointed season comes faster when you dig your heals in and believe non-stop. Whenever I am believing God for something I think is easy, the answer comes quickly. But the more impossible it seems to me, the longer due season takes. At that I have to take more time to meditate God's promises so I can have the foundation I need to believe without wavering.
The more revelation knowledge we have the smarter we are and the easier it is for us to receive our promises from God. How do we get revelation knowledge? As I just mentioned, meditating the Word, hearing the Word of God and hearing God encourage us (Romans 10:17). When God encourages us and gives us the wisdom we need to know that our answer is right there, right around the corner, all we have to do is keep believing. All you have to do is keep acting nobly and doing—right. That is God encouraging you and me!!!
So what is acting noble and what is doing right? Sowing to the spirit is acting nobly, according to what God says is right. and God said what is noble is to love. Even in the midst of whatever you are going through to act noble is to act kind and gracious, to give love, to act as if nothing is bothering you because you believe what you have asked of God will happen. That is faith. Faith without action is dead (James 2:17). If you have doubt in God, you will act out of your fear, but if you believe God will do what He said. If you have meditated the Word, if you have a fresh Word from Him you won't be troubled by what you are going through, and you will be able to love. When you hear Love (God), you are empowered to love. Why? Because you have been encouraged by Love. God loved you when He told you not to faint, it will happen, just keep My law, don't faint! That is LOVE!
If you are going through a hard time for example and it hasn’t gotten better God is saying you just keep doing the right thing, you keep doing your part and if you don’t faint, if you don’t stop and give up you will reap! It will happen!
It has to happen because God is not a liar (Romans 3:4) and He said if you sow to the Spirit you will reap. That means when you spend your time learning His way, which we know is to love, when we make a decision to love—living by His precepts, we are sowing to the Spirit and from the Spirit we will reap because we are doing His way—sowing to the Spirit and from the Spirit we will reap..
On the other hand if you sow to the flesh, if you just do what your flesh tells you to do, if you live and act according to how you feel instead of by God’s principles then what you reap — will be from the flesh. You will have gratified your flesh rather than gratifying God. Rather than giving God the glory for His law of Love that never fails, rather than proving His will is good and perfect and that we can trust Him in everything, you will be giving your flesh glory, and at the same time mocking God.
But be not deceived, if you do things God’s way you will reap, God is not mocked, He is not fake; He doesn’t want to be looked at as a God who doesn’t keep His promises. He is not playing a game, He is real and when we do what He said to do, what we believed, what He said will happen—will happen. Halleluiah!!!!
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap. 8 For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
God is excited when we believe Him, when we rely on Him, because when we do that is having faith in Him and our faith in Him pleases Him (Hebrews 11:6). Not only that, but when we press in and believe—we are proving that God is good and HIs will perfect (Romans 12:2)!
