To Think Outside The Box Of Ordinary — To God's Extraordinary

God isn’t pleased when we live ordinary lives—but He is pleased when we live extraordinary lives.  The problem is many don’t know the extraordinary life God intends for them, thus they won’t live that life.  Therefore we have to know God and what He is thinking to know, (to have a revelation of) the life He wants for us.

We definitely can become well acquainted with God and know exactly what He is thinking by knowing the Word of God (He is His Word, John 1:1). Then of course we have to be in agreement (conformity) with God.

God has superabundantly in mind for you!

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—

If you are in agreement, lets get started living that extraordinary life, with God’s purpose of doing superabundantly over and above all that you could even dare ask or think. Can you imagine God doing for you not less than, but more than, in fact superabundantly more than you even thought of?  I can because it has happened for me before and more than a few times.

It begins as we open the Manual (The Bible) and read it.  Read it to not only know God, what God wants for you, but then to know His instructions to obtain those promises He has in mind for you. There are instructions?  Yes God has a recipe for His blessings to abound in our lives.

Lets start with Romans where God teaches us the position we have to be in to have His promises, to live in His good and perfect will.

Don’t Make Yourself At Home

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

Our first direction is not to conform to this age which means, not to match up to, do the accepted thing, not to be traditional, don’t adapt to, don’t personalize your life —to what?  To the place we live in—this world, don’t get comfortable in it!

That is a good Word in itself since we are not of this world, and if we are not of this world and if our destination is heaven as our home, then why would we conform to the less than way of life?  Jesus didn’t when He was here, He didn’t conform at all.  He nor His disciples lived sick or broke, depressed, or with a lack of wisdom, but quite the opposite of that as we should!

John 17:13 And now I am coming to You; I say these things while I am still in the world, so that My joy may be made full and complete and perfect in them [that they may experience My delight fulfilled in them, that My enjoyment may be perfected in their own souls, that they may have My gladness within them, filling their hearts].

14 I have given and delivered to them Your word (message) and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world [do not belong to the world], just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask that You will take them out of the world, but that You will keep and protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world (worldly, belonging to the world), [just] as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth. 18 Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

Not conforming to the world compares to Jesus warning us of the wide gate that leads to destruction.

Matthew 7:13 Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and spacious and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are entering through it.  14 But the gate is narrow (contracted by pressure) and the way is straitened and compressed that leads away to life, and few are those who find it.

The wide gate is definitely the gate that leads to destruction here and now and when we leave here.  The wide gate is conforming to, agreeing with, matching up with the traditions of men which results in destruction.   Hosea records that God said His people live in destruction because of a lack of knowledge.  Because of a lack of knowledge many live on the wide path.  If one knew the wisdom of God they wouldn’t be taking the broken way that leads ultimately — to destruction.

The wide gate that leads to destruction, has a lack of God’s wisdom because those on that path disregard God and His wisdom.  The wide gate is jam packed with reasoning’s and theories that are exulted above the true knowledge of God.  Reasoning’s and theories are instigated by the devil to tempt man with what seems to be success.   Many will find temporary and what seems to be right answers on the wide path, but they are only temporary theories exulted above the true knowledge of God that lead to destruction.

Through the narrow gate is the pressure of the enemy who tries to get us to quit, but as we press to not compromise we will live that superabundant life we are promised.

Thus it is a press, but that press leads to the good life, living in heaven on the earth, that good life that God wants for us here, now, and for eternity.

If you didn’t know, your life here and the choices you make now, lead you to your eternal destination.  What you choose here has everything to do with what happens to you when you leave here.  Thus if you pick as Jesus said the wide path, it leads to destruction, and the narrow — eternal life!

The wide gate is easy, there’s no sweat, no effort, you just float about with the rest of the crowd, well until there is trouble, and when that trouble comes because you built your house on the sand you will be blown away.  But if you built your house on the Rock no matter what the enemy brings your way, you will be equipped and established to overcome his attacks!

Lets move on

Fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs.   The Word (God) is telling us not to adapt (personalize) ourselves to the worlds external (outside of God’s Kingdom) superficial (only surface deep) customs.

In other words God is revealing to us the worlds way is superficial, phony, trivial, and only skin deep.  Doing things the worlds way is a temporary way with no foundation, none of God’s wisdom, and is living by chance.  The worlds way is a life we don’t want to identify with because it is doesn’t lead anywhere, it is a dead end life with no eternal value.

The revelation then to live that extraordinary life God wants for us is, to be transformed in our thinking, to renew our minds to think as God thinks.  Adapt to His ideals so we can prove for ourselves His will is good and perfect!  As we adapt to and fashion our lives after His way of doing then with His results we will be living that extraordinary life, proving for ourselves His will is good and perfect.

No one will have to convince you, but you will know for yourself how good God is because you will know Him for yourself.  When you know His mindset you know Him. When you change your mind to be as His,  you will want to be in agreement with Him and you will have His superabundant ways happening in your life!

And no one can take that which God gave to you from you!
