I Will Believe When I See It?

John 20:29 Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, Thomas, do you now believe (trust, have faith)? Blessed and happy and [a]to be envied are those who have never seen Me and yet have believed and adhered to and trusted and relied on Me. AMPC

To believe without seeing is faith, but how many of us actually believe without seeing?  I see that we are rather carnal in that we keep looking for conformations to convince us we can believe.  Then when we don’t see one, other than the written Word, we turn away from our faith.

Even though we have the written Word, Even though we say we believe God so love the world, He sent Jesus we don’t actually live out that very action of what we say we believe.

The Word of God is God, His promises are in His Word, for when if we believe.   We compromise our faith, because we don’t see in our lives what is promised in the Word is promised through faith.

What we fail to realize is that we first have to believe the Word, those promises, before we can see them manifest. If we don’t get that we are going to be like Thomas who would only believe after he could see the holes in Jesus‘ hands.

He believed after he could see and Jesus said we are blessed when we believe without seeing.  God’s Word today to us is that we believe Him before we see Him.

His promises happen for the person who will dare to believe His Word is true and act as though they are.  God is faithful to His Word and when we believe it before we see it then we will see them come to pass in our lives.

Blessings obviously come to those who believe because they believed.  What we adhere to, cling to rely in, is where our faith is and if it is in something other than God than really our faith in not in God but another source.

His blessings are for those who believe and to believe we are entrusted to meditate those promises enough that they become faith (Romans 10:17).

Thus I would like to encourage you (in this last day especially) before He comes to believe and be blessed.  Be about what our God is about so you can show the blessing to others.  So your loved ones will believe because you are walking in the blessing.

God’s return is soon and He longs to find faith on the earth (Luke 18:18).  He is looking to and fro for those who will believe in Him, those even that would do His work.  Can He look to you, will you keep your commitment to Him as being apart of His Kingdom?
