The Book of Life

There is so much more going on in our lives than we realize.  This morning God gave me this picture of life.

Revelation 13:8 And all the inhabitants of the earth will fall down in adoration and pay him homage, everyone whose name has not been recorded in the Book of Life of the Lamb that was slain [in sacrifice] from the foundation of the world. AMPC

After being led to read this text, God gave me this glimpse of how He already has gone through our life. As if it were a script from a movie and we are acting it out, bringing to pass what has already been written.

I am not sure how else to explain what He showed me, other than to say it seems to have already happened.  Therefore, He knows the choices we will make ahead of time.  His decisions are made upon ours in which He already knows.

Look at our text, John is telling what He witnessed.  All the inhabitants of the earth fall down and worship the beast, all those NOT recorded in the Book of Life.  Therefore things are not a surprise to God, He already knows who will choose Him and who won’t!

Therefore the person in which will not choose Him, He already knows that.

He knows ahead of time whose name will be in the Book of Life and who's won't.

God’s priority is to bring to pass in the one's life who chooses Him, those very things needed to complete that person's salvation.

This brings me to the point I believe God wants to make.  When He asks us to go for Him to bring to pass His will, without question, confidently we should go and where He calls us to go because He knows the work He can do through us to bring to pass what He already knows will take place.

Of course He also knows who will cooperate with Him and who won’t.   For those who will cooperate with Him I believe He wants to reveal His wisdom, to not only clear up any confusion that gets in the way, but to empower those to be confident in their mission.  To know that it is already done, that we can do it!

God knows it is not fun to be around those whom you feel you have been exhausted of.  He knows that unpleasantness makes us feel like we need to escape those people.

God is beckoning us though, to keep ministering to those because He knows they are already saved.  He knows the future and He knows the plan.  What He wants you and I to know is we are a part of the plan for that person's salvation.

That person God is calling you to minister to is actually your assignment from God to bring that person into a relationship with Him!  Now that takes away some of that dread to be around them, right? Knowing that they are already saved, and the future is, God used you to bring their salvation to pass.

God knows you are going to grow weary, and that you feel like giving up!  I believe that is why I am writing this article. When you know what God knows.  When you know that all your efforts are going to pay off!  When you know that you’re in the right place, that you are a part of the plan He has for that person’s salvation, then it makes your part so much easier!  Really a privilege!  A privilege to be a part of God’s plan for someone's salvation.

I have someone, several people in fact, in my life that I know I am to be there for those people.  Some of those in fact are very hurtful and it doesn't always seem fair, or that I am living the good life I was created for because of them.

I know though that I am in a privileged place and not to feel sorry for myself.  Hearing God say things to me has brought me to this place.  He has said things to me like—You know Me, that person does not.  I expect more from you than that person because you know me—because of what you know.  That person needs you, without you showing them who I am, they will fall.  Don't expect anything from that person, but come to Me.

Our escape is God and no one can love us as He does.  Not one person has ever loved me in comparison to how God loves me.

God does need us to do His greater works and that means life will get tough at times.  Jesus said we would endure persecution for His sake.  That is our call as Christians for the sake of even one lost soul!

What is important to God needs to be important to us.  He knows the person or persons in your life that need Him, and how you can be that vessel for their soul.  God knows you are the person for the job, you are part of the plan for their salvation.  When you know what He knows, you won’t run from them, but you will be there for them.

God will strengthen you, He will give you the wisdom you need to help that person and to endure the persecution you endure in that relationship.  God will also mature you in that relationship.

Why is maturity of importance, why would that matter to you?

Because maturity brings you closer to God, makes you more like Him, it gives you more understanding, and it brings you the utmost joy!  Maturity sets you free from bondages and brings you to the place of the good life, even in the midst of that confrontation trying to overtake you!

Greater though is He, that is in you!

Do great things for the King!

John 14:12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. AMPC
