New Ideals

When we get born again, we get to live a new and wonderful life! Are you living that life or are you the same as you were before? If you live like the rest of the world without God you can estimate your rebirth isn’t being lived to the fullest and the reason is, that you haven’t changed your mind to agree with God and live purposefully by His Ideals.

Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

If we don’t change our minds to think as God does, we won’t live in agreement with God and we will never know and experience His good and perfect will. We will never experience that new and wonderful life as God intended for us to live to the fullest, without changing our minds to think as He thinks and live as He lives.

On the other hand, if we are persistent in changing our minds to think according to God’s new ideals and do them, we will live in His good and perfect will. Thinking God’s way and living according to His way is living in agreement with Him and will bring into manifestation His will in our lives.

I once heard a man say we have to wash out all that old stuff we used to think before we knew God and then put in the new. It’s true and is precisely what the new birth is about. Jesus said the Kingdom of God isn’t a place you can see with your eyes, but it is within you. When you were born again it happened within you, you suddenly could see God and His Kingdom for the first time right down on the inside of you.

The next step is to think as God thinks —purposefully so we can live that new and changed life. If we’re not intentional about looking at the Word to know God and spend time with Him so we can see clearly, we won’t live that new life He intends for us, but we will live the same old way did before God.

Living without God we don’t consider manifestations of His power but we live conformed to the world. We don’t run to Him when we need something we run to a person or thing—because we haven’t changed our mind. Because we haven’t taken the time to hear and consider (believe) God —we live conformed to the world.

Having that understanding you can see that if God’s will isn’t happening in your life, it is not because God doesn’t want to do it, or God is holding out on you— it is because you didn’t change you mind and cling to His new ideals.

What are God’s ideals? His standards, His way of living, and His principles. When we live by those principles, when we consider, cling to, and apply them to our lives, we are seriously seeking God and His way —then proving His will is good and perfect.

God needs us to support Him, to prove He is good. When we call ourselves Christians—then living out His will should be our purpose in life, proving His will is good and perfect should be our appreciation, and what we should be pressing toward.

Maybe you didn’t know that God is asking that of us? But He is, just as He sent Jesus, just as Jesus sent the disciples to do His greater work, to show who He is, we as Christians have that same assignment, to show who God is by having God’s will —His goodness manifest in our lives.

John 14:12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father

When we reflect God we reflect answers, we reflect light and are bringing that light to those who live in the dark. We have an assignment and God is asking that we move from conformity —to living in His will, proving He is good, He cares, and His way is a out of that dark. Will you go for Him?
