Today I want to teach you how you can obey the Father so you can go to heaven when you leave here.
Many think it is a given and everyone goes to heaven —but that is not so. Although It is not the will of the Father that anyone should perish— many will because of their disobedience in doing the will of the Father.
Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. AMPC
Jesus said—if you want to enter the Kingdom of heaven you have to do the will of the Father. In other words doing the will of the Father is the condition for heaven.
Doing the will of the Father is to actively be a doer of His Word.
James 1:22 But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth].
Living in the Kingdom right here on the earth, preparing to move in with God when you leave here is living in the kingdom of God now, when we do His Word.Jesus said the Kingdom of God is not here or there but within you.
Luke 17:20 Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display, 21 Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you]. AMPC
When you want to live in the Kingdom of God, all you have to do is ask Jesus to come live in your heart. Him living in you is you living in the Kingdom of God. Staying in agreement with Jesus —so to live by the principles of the kingdom is the place where you live in the kingdom of God here on the earth. Living in agreement with the kingdom of God principles— is to learn His way and that is done by taking heed to His voice.
Living in the Kingdom of God is a decision you make when you ask Jesus to come and live on the inside of you. It is a lifestyle change —not a ticket to heaven. The reason it is a lifestyle change is that kingdom living is different from the way we live without God.
God's way is to love, and His love is a way of living that you are submitting to when you ask to live with Him. When you make this decision —you are surrendering your life to Jesus. Surrendering as in agreement with Him, no longer self ruled as the world lives—but learning His way which is to love. As you allow, He will change your heart and with that your life. You will live a new and victorious life —you won't live defeated anymore!
So you see it is not a quick prayer, it is not a flesh thing, it is not a quick fix to get to heaven, is not a ticket to heaven—but it is an invitation to a relationship to live with the King in His Kingdom.
Jesus who laid down His life for you, who cherishes you so much that He shed His blood for you, took on your sin for you, even before you were born, has made provision for heaven for you is for you —not against you. All you have to do do is believe in Him (Romans 10:11-13).
Because you and I couldn't do it ourselves (obey the law), Jesus came to accomplish in us. When you and I believe that, it will change how we live. The lifestyle change will take place when we believe. That's the difference in a prayer of the flesh, and a prayer of the heart.
Entering into a relationship with Jesus—is entering into the most wonderful life ever, and is possible to live right now —because of Jesus. Now—as you invite Him to live on the inside of you, the Kingdom of God lives in you and your life will change immediately!
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me. AMPC
All you have to do is invite Him in and heed His voice. Then He will be with you, never to leave you or forsake you!
Revelation 3:19 Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude]. AMPC
He loves you and will convict you and reprove you to keep you on that narrow path that leads to eternity with Him.
Be excited about that discipline because it will lead you to being right with the Father. Doing His will now so that we can live with Him now —and when we leave here. That is what we should be busy about doing His will—before He gets here. He should be, needs to be our everything! and He will be once you get to know Him and fall in love with Him.
To know the will of the Father is to know His Word, His Word is His will. The Word of God is His opinion, what He thinks. His way of doing life is in His Word. That means we have to look at the Word. Faith comes—the revelation knowledge of who God is comes —as we hear the Word of God.
That also means that we have to do that work, the work of hearing the Word, which is feeding your spirit the food it needs to stay strong (Romans 10:17).
Staying strong in the Word, empowers you to do His will, having the facts keeps you strong. Having understanding makes doing His will easier. Having your head and your heart in the same place is powerful!
What we read in the Word of God is His will. The Word is Him, His opinion, what He thinks, thus the Word is His will.
John 1:1 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. AMPC
With the Word is His Voice, the Holy Spirit talking to you. He gives you direction to keep you on the narrow path, which is the path of obedience, and that path leads to eternal life.
John 14:26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. AMPC
He will lead you to do the will of the Father. Many won't take heed to His voice and walk instead the way that leads to destruction.
Matthew 7:13 Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and spacious and broad is the way that leads away to destruction, and many are those who are entering through it. AMPC
And all for the satisfaction of the flesh! Giving into your flesh is always a step away from the will of the Father. If you look around you, you will see the flesh is common ground and many live by it's dictates.
Matthew 7:14 But the gate is narrow (contracted by pressure) and the way is straitened and compressed that leads away to life, and few are those who find it. AMPC
When you get on that path and you press through the pressure —you are doing the will of the Father. When your heart is in it, in His will —meaning you want to do His will —you will push through that pressure. The lust of the flesh will be that pressure. Distractions, worry, I feel, and offense —all the lust of the flesh, what the flesh wants —will go against the will of God. Satan's bait is our flesh and he will use our flesh against us to keep us from doing the Father's will.
Therefore we must train our flesh, keep it under and not live by the dictates of our flesh (how we feel) but led by the Spirit! If we live by how we feel we won't be able to please God. Our faith in God —pleases God (Hebrews 11:6). Not our faith in how we feel, but our faith in God —knowing that He will do what He said He would do. (Read Romans 8 for help understanding the flesh and the Spirit).
Therefore obeying God is living by the Spirit, letting the Holy Spirit teach you and guide you in righteousness. In the past there was the law in which we couldn't live by. Now because of Jesus, what He did at the cross, we have His power on the inside of us to do what we couldn't do without Him.
Jesus came in a human body and was tempted as you and I are tempted. He said —Not My will but Yours Father. We can do the same when that temptation comes. Jesus taught us to pray His will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10), therefore we are responsible to ask and then we will be empowered to do His will.
When your flesh tries to overtake you, when the enemy tries to pressure you, you can resist him with the authority you have been given over him (Luke 10:19). Now His power, Jesus —lives in you to accomplish His will and when you resist the enemy, the enemy will run (James 4:7).
The bottom line is we have to know His will —and be willing to be corrected to stay in His will.
All I just taught you is partial, some of what I know, good knowledge to have —but, what is imperative —I can't tell you. And that is your part. Your part now is in getting on your knees and asking. Not my will but Your will Father.. What do I have to do to be right with You — to enter into the Kingdom of heaven?
